About Me
My name is Boo and I make things, so my company is appropriately called Boo Makes Things! I make and sell crocheted cuteness, and promote crafting and trying things in the name of mental health and self-expression.

Background
I initially started crocheting as a way to help manage my social anxiety, bringing it with me to pubs and events - if my hands had something to do, I found it a lot easier to focus and relax. I started selling the things I’d made at craft fairs and before I knew it, I had a small business, trading at events up and down the UK.

Mission
Crocheting is something inherently human to me - machines can’t replicate it, so you can be sure that everything I sell is made by hand. I want to spread that joy and encourage others to make things of their own, which is why I post about other hobbies and crafts, use bright colours, and am always happy to offer free advice to any budding crocheters.

Values
-
Starting is the hard part, and everyone starts somewhere. That’s why my logo is a slipknot, which is the first stitch of any crochet project.
-
Art is awesome, art is for everyone, and art doesn’t have to be perfect to be good.
